As the year draws to a close, we look back on what has been a very successful 2009 for Gael, with details of our selection in the Technology Fast 500 EMEA Ranking and CEO Survey 2009, as well as the appointment of our new Customer Services Manager.

We also announce our partnership with a leading global airworthiness and safety consultancy that's set to improve aviation safety through the use of Gael Academy, and also report on the growing use of the Support Portal, where Q-Pulse users can raise Support calls directly through the Community.

With more than 9500 people now enrolled, we're continuing to make improvements to Gael Academy.

Gael Academy now offers faster delivery and improved reliability, using cloud computing technology to deliver courses more quickly and more reliably than ever, as well as enhanced functionality that includes multiple administrators, an enhanced upload feature and improved training plan management.

The improvements also include additional content, with the opening of the Academy Library and more Academy Live training events.

As part of our Microsoft Gold Certified Partner renewal, we've now launched our Customer Satisfaction Index survey, and those invited to participate should already have received their invitations.

In a year that’s seen the launch of Version 5.6, the expansion of the Academy and the introduction of our web service APIs, the survey gives you the chance to let us know what you think of our products and services in managing your ongoing requirements.

If you’ve not yet taken the survey, it runs until December 14th, and we’ll be reporting the results in the next edition of thepulse.

Using industry-recognised standards to send and receive information, Q-Pulse web service APIs provide a way of integrating Q-Pulse with systems built to these standards, from Windows PCs to mobile devices.

We recently completed a web service APIs project with Finnair, Finland’s largest airline and the flag carrier. By integrating Q-Pulse with their reporting process, Finnair can now log event reports as they happen, and track and monitor actions to completion within Q-Pulse.

With the need for radical quality and efficiency improvement at an organisation-wide level within the NHS now greater than ever, we recently organised a series of free half-day events for Q-Pulse healthcare customers in the UK.

Each event offered an opportunity to find out about the advantages of implementing Q-Pulse Enterprise within the hospital, as well as the benefits for each department, and provided an overview of Q-Pulse Enterprise together with a review of each organisation's current Department and Trust compliance environment.

Q-Pulse is to bridge the gap between regulator and regulated in aviation by providing airlines, airports, MROs and other regulated organisations with direct, real-time access to the safety and security reporting system of the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates (GCAA).

As Q-Pulse use continues to increase throughout the industry, we also bring you news of how you can access IOSA checklists ready for import into Q-Pulse, as well as details of how Q-Pulse web service APIs are helping a regional airline share and analyse aviation safety data through STEADES.

As we celebrate the first anniversary of the release of Q-Pulse IMS, we’re now seeing customers finding greater applications for the solution in integrating the management of multiple standards, which has been supported by the system’s recent adoption by the KCOM Group plc.

We’d be extremely interested to hear from you if you’re using Q-Pulse to manage multiple standards, especially if you can beat the outstanding ‘record’ of simultaneously managing compliance with six different standards.
